The Costa Smeralda, the new ship of the Italian company Costa Crociere, was officially launched last April.

I recommend the cruise. I made a cruise with Costa Cruises and I was very satisfied with the experience. First of all, I have to say that all the staff and crew members were particularly welcoming and friendly.

The ship was beautiful, clean and well maintained.

The food was excellent. I had a fantastic vacation with my kids! The entertainment was great! The only problem was that we had booked an inside cabin for three people and our teenage daughter ended up in a double room for four people. So she had to share a room with my 85 year old mother (herself). This can be a problem for some travelers with teenage children, but I didn't mind because I had made sure to book a three-person inside cabin in advance.
